Intermountain Christian is 8-2 against Merit Preparatory Academy since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Intermountain Christian will be strutting in after a win while Merit Preparatory Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
On Friday, Intermountain Christian got the win against Draper APA by a conclusive 16-6. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Coy White made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Intermountain Christian got a massive performance out of Charlie Erickson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Stratton Humphreys, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run.
Intermountain Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Draper APA only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, Merit Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against American Heritage, falling 23-3.
Merit Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Intermountain Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything went Intermountain Christian's way against Merit Preparatory Academy in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, as Intermountain Christian made off with a 20-4 win.
