Recap: First Coast Christian Knights vs. Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders
The First Coast Christian Knights posted their biggest victory since December 18, 2023 on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Old Plank Christian Academy 59-32 at home. That's another feather in the cap for First Coast Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
First Coast Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tavarion Stevens, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Stevens hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Andrew Yarbrough, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
First Coast Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Coast Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome Covenant School of Jacksonville at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Duval Charter at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th.
