Willow Canyon put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 71-38 victory over the Thunderbird Titans. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Kaleel Kelly, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 18 points. His afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Cooper, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 12 points.

Willow Canyon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Willow Canyon's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Thunderbird, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Willow Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-54 victory against Tolleson on the 28th. As for Thunderbird, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Moon Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
