Softball Recap: East Ridge Raptors vs. White Bear Lake Bears

East Ridge had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 8-6 to make it four. They lost 10-2 to the White Bear Lake Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in April.

As for White Bear Lake, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the game before.

For White Bear Lake's part, Lilly Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. Martin has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, White Bear Lake got a big performance out of Maddie Pearson, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits Pearson has posted since back in April. Anessa Pe?a was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Coming up, East Ridge will challenge Maple Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White Bear Lake, they will be playing at home against Roseville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
