Basketball Game Preview: Althoff Catholic Crusaders vs. Marquette Catholic Explorers

The Althoff Catholic Crusaders will square off against the Marquette Catholic Explorers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Thursday, Althoff Catholic was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-43 to Father McGivney Catholic.

Meanwhile, Marquette Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over Carlinville last Tuesday, taking the game 45-35.

Marquette Catholic's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-2. As for Althoff Catholic, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Althoff Catholic barely slipped by Marquette Catholic in their previous meeting back in January, winning 38-37. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Explorers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
