Recap: Jefferson Dragons vs. Heritage Patriots
The Jefferson Dragons put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Heritage for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-0 win at home. Considering Jefferson has won six matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Sammy Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 121 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also picking up 34 receiving yards. Gavin Markey was another key contributor, punching in a rushing scores.
Jefferson's win was their fifth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Heritage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Jefferson will square off against Eastside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eastside is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for Heritage, they will be playing at home against Flowery Branch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Flowery Branch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Heritage in Georgia (Flowery Branch is ranked 112th, while Heritage is ranked 245th).
