Softball Recap: Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings vs. Richards Bulldogs
Homewood-Flossmoor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Richards Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly three runs.
Izzy Thurman was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Thurman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Skylar Skinner was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
Homewood-Flossmoor now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Richards, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
