Volleyball Game Preview: Lake Forest Academy Caxys vs. Francis W. Parker Colonels

The Lake Forest Academy Caxys will take on the Francis W. Parker Colonels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Forest Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Francis W. Parker will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Lake Forest Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Zion-Benton, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Caxys.

Lake Forest Academy never let Zion-Benton on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Francis W. Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Morgan Park Academy.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Francis W. Parker sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 25-18.

Lake Forest Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Francis W. Parker, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
