Volleyball Game Preview: Campbellsport Cougars vs. Howards Grove Tigers

The Campbellsport Cougars will head out to square off against the Howards Grove Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Campbellsport is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, Campbellsport got the win against Sheboygan South by a conclusive 3-0.

Campbellsport's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Garvey Ayla, who had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave Ayla a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Schwartz Gracie, who had four digs and three aces.

Meanwhile, Howards Grove earned a 3-1 victory over St. Mary Catholic two weeks ago.

Campbellsport better focus on containing Sydney Borgen and Avery Sasche as the pair were huge in Howards Grove's win. Borgen had nine digs and two aces, while Sasche had 17 digs, five kills, and three aces. Borgen is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Howards Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matches.

Campbellsport's record is now 18-16. As for Howards Grove, their record now sits at 21-12.
