Soccer Game Preview: Germantown vs. Craigmont

The Germantown Red Devils will head out to take on the Craigmont Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Germantown has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Craigmont will arrive with three straight victories.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Germantown's offense. They lost 9-0 to Memphis University School on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Craigmont hadn't done well against Raleigh-Egypt recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Chiefs' defense stepped up to hand the Pharaohs a 7-0 shutout. Fans of Craigmont have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

They hit Raleigh-Egypt with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mohammad Ali (3), Geovanny Moran (3), and Chris Maldonado.

Craigmont's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
