Recap: Kelly Catholic Bulldogs vs. Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles
The Kelly Catholic Bulldogs lost against the Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kelly Catholic took a serious blow against Fort Bend Christian Academy, falling 46-3. Kelly Catholic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-3.
Anthony Mazzola threw for 118 yards on 13 of 27 attempts. E'Shawn Holman was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards.
Fort Bend Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ramarian Tillman out in front who rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Tillman is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Kampwerth, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Kelly Catholic's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 5.7 points per game. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Kelly Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fort Bend Christian Academy will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hyde Park at 7:00 p.m.
