Baseball Recap: Nazareth Area Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Nazareth Area had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out the Stroudsburg Mountaineers 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Matt Daems was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Chase Kilareski was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Nazareth Area pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Stroudsburg, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

As of now, neither Nazareth Area nor the Mountaineers have any future games scheduled.
