Andrew Jackson Academy had won five straight home games and McKinnley Beard did her part to make it six on Wednesday. The Warriors walked away with a 3-1 win over the Colleton Prep Academy War Hawks with plenty of help from Beard, who had 22 kills, 11 aces, and one block. She is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Andrew Jackson Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-11.

Andrew Jackson Academy's record is now 25-7. As for Colleton Prep Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17-1.
