Baseball Game Preview: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Santa Ana Valley Falcons

For the second straight game, Magnolia will face off against Santa Ana Valley. The Sentinels will square off against the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Magnolia will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Magnolia turned things around against Santa Ana Valley on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Falcons.

Gabe Segura was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Jonathan Hernandez was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Danny Ledesma was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-4.

Santa Ana Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Magnolia, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
