Basketball Recap: Irvington Takes a Loss

Irvington entered their matchup against American on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Vikings fell 51-41 to the Eagles. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Dylan JaWei Lee had a dynamite game For American., shooting 54% from the field to rack up 22 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points Lee has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarun Srikanth, who scored 11 points and seven boards.

Irvington now has a losing record of 4-5. As for American, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Irvington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 93-30 win against Galt on the 18th. As for American, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-42 loss against San Leandro on the 19th.
