Preview: Thornwell Saints vs. Dixie Hornets
The Thornwell Saints will head out on the road to take on the Dixie Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thornwell comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Monday, Thornwell suffered a tough 40-15 defeat at the hands of Calhoun Falls Charter.
Dixie posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. Everything went their way against South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind as Dixie made off with a 39-13 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Dixie has posted against South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind since January 11, 2018.
Dixie found their leader in underclassman Jaylia Turner, who scored 12 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kerri O'Shields, who scored four points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Thornwell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Dixie, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.
