Football Recap: Llano Piles Up the Points Against Comfort

While Llano put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Comfort. The Yellowjackets took their contest with ease, bagging a 41-0 win over the Bobcats/Deer. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won four matchups by 32 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Luke Davis, who threw for 262 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was Austin Humphries, who picked up 81 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Llano proved: they limited Comfort to a paltry 2.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Grayson Lillie for the heroic effort on defense: he. Llano's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 4.1.

Llano didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brady Kelly, Jose Sillas, and JD Friday picked up one apiece. Sillas got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Llano's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Comfort, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-1.

Looking ahead, Llano will look to defend their home field on Friday against Florence at 7:00 p.m. This will be the Yellowjackets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Comfort, they will head out on the road to challenge Bandera at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The BULLDOGS' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Bobcats/Deer's offense will have their work cut out for them.
