Mishawaka won the last time they faced Goshen and things went their way on Friday too. The Cavemen blew past the RedHawks 21-6. Considering the Cavemen have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Lilly St. Clair was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. St. Clair was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Khloe Hershey was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Karmen Frazier was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Mishawaka was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Mishawaka, bringing their record up to 7-3.
