Softball Game Preview: Bland Tigers vs. North Hopkins Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Bland Tigers take on North Hopkins Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bland is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Bland came up short against North Hopkins and fell 14-9. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly five runs.

Kamryn Wade was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Zoe Wilson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Wade wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Bland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for North Hopkins, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
