Basketball Recap: Trae Kargo Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat United

Portage won the last time they faced United and things went their way on Friday too. The Portage Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the United Lions, sneaking past 50-47.

Portage's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trae Kargo, who posted 13 points. Bode Layo was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Portage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for United, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6.

Portage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-53 victory against Conemaugh Valley on the 25th. As for United, they will welcome Berlin Brothersvalley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
