Recap: Baker County Wildcats vs. Fleming Island Golden Eagles
The Baker County Wildcats lost against the Fleming Island Golden Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Baker County took a hard 70-52 fall against the Golden Eagles. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Baker County in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
It was another big night for George Hamm, who scored 30 points along with three steals for Fleming Island. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hamm has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Crawford, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Baker County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Fleming Island, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.
Baker County will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. As for Fleming Island, they and the Bobcats will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Buchholz will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
