Xavier extended their winning streak to six on Tuesday, bumping them up to 15-6. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Notre Dame Academy Tritons a 2-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Hawks: when they faced off against the Tritons back in April, they had to take a 8-7 loss.

As for Notre Dame Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season. The shutout was out of character for they seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

For Notre Dame Academy's part, Drew Magnuson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up six Ks. Magnuson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Notre Dame Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Reineking, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As of now, neither Xavier nor the Tritons have any future games scheduled.
