Paydon Rinkol Delivers Best Effort of Season

Paydon Rinkol produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Twin River to the win on Friday. Rinkol rushed for 289 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 18.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 146 or more in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for Madison, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Rinkol. Rinkol rushed for 257 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Dragons duked it out back in October of 2023.

David City Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Reese Svoboda

David City picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Reese Svoboda. Nobody could stop Svoboda as he rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

This year, Svoboda has averaged 0.4 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 8.04 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 13.99 passer rating.

Jeryn Struebing was instrumental in extending Clarkson/Leigh's winning streak to four on Friday. Newman Grove/St. Edward had no answer to Struebing as he rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 59 yards.

Clarkson/Leigh's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Struebing and Clarkson/Leigh will be playing in front of their home fans against David City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
