They snuck past St. Michael's with a 42-37 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Incarnate Word Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2018.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Incarnate Word Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lily Brown, who scored 6 points along with 5 steals. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last four games she's played. Lily Herandez was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
Incarnate Word Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for St. Michael's, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Incarnate Word Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lake Country Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. Lake Country Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games. As for St. Michael's, they will take on Brentwood Christian at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
