Soccer Recap: Unioto vs. Minford
Unioto was the 4-0 winner over Minford when they last played one another back in September of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Unioto Shermans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Minford Falcons on Saturday. The shutout was out of character for the Shermans seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.
Unioto's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Minford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unioto will welcome Zane Trace at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Minford, they will be playing at home against Chesapeake at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Minford's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while Chesapeake has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
