Softball Recap: Combs Takes a Loss

Combs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 29-2 to the Crismon Rattlers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-1 last Monday.

Combs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jasseryn Polanco, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Combs' loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Crismon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Combs will welcome ALA - Queen Creek at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.13 runs per game on average), something the Coyotes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Crismon, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Mary's at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
