Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Manteo walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Triangle Math & Science Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. Manteo might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Triangle Math & Science with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Benji Carrillo, Alex Amezquita-Reyes, and Anias Santiago Rayburn.

Manteo pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those eight matches. As for Triangle Math & Science, they moved to 13-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Manteo will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Voyager Academy at 7:00 p.m. Triangle Math & Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
