Softball Recap: Cox Comes Up Short

Cox lost against Ocean Lakes back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons fell 7-4 to the Dolphins. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cox saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Hauser, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Olivia Peterson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Cox's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Ocean Lakes, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cox will host Churchland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ocean Lakes, they will take on Kempsville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Dolphins' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
