Edison is a perfect 3-0 against Columbian since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. Edison will host Columbian at 4:45 p.m. Edison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.

Edison gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over Firelands. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Abby Cloud made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cloud was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Edison got a big performance out of Peyton Bissell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Adison Wechter, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Columbian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Mohawk on Wednesday, falling 22-2. The loss continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Edison pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Columbian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Edison beat Columbian 14-11 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Edison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Columbian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
