Soccer Recap: Bob Jones Takes a Loss

The Bob Jones Patriots came up short against the Houston Mustangs on Friday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Bob Jones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 41st in Alabama, while Houston are ranked tenth in Tennessee).

This is the second loss in a row for Bob Jones and nudges their season record down to 7-7-3. As for Houston, their win bumped their record up to 6-1-3.

Looking ahead, Bob Jones will be taking part in a tournament against Dunwoody at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Houston, they will challenge Pebblebrook at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Pebblebrook will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Houston surely won't give up without a fight.
