Basketball Game Preview: Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers vs. Pontiac Indians

The Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Pontiac Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Paxton-Buckley-Loda came up short against Tolono Unity and fell 44-36. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 381st, while the Rockets are ranked 111th).

Meanwhile, Pontiac lost 57-32 to St. Joseph-Ogden on Friday.

Pontiac has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Paxton-Buckley-Loda was dealt a bruising 61-27 loss at the hands of Pontiac when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Paxton-Buckley-Loda avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
