Horton is 9-1 against Oskaloosa since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Chargers will be home for the holidays to greet the Bears. Horton is looking for their season's first victory.

On Tuesday, Horton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to Doniphan West. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Mustangs are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oskaloosa). Everything went their way against McLouth on Tuesday as they made off with a 79-59 win. The Bears have beaten the Bulldogs the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bulldogs has come to flipping the script.

Oskaloosa now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Horton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Horton strolled past Oskaloosa in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 56-39. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
