Basketball Recap: Columbia's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop Kelly, Columbia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-39 victory over the Vallivue Falcons. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Columbia's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Vallivue, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Columbia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Skyview at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vallivue, they will take on Middleton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Middleton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.
