Volleyball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Eagles vs. Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions

Liberty Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Thursday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plaza Heights Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooke Amerine, who had five kills, five aces, and two blocks. That's the most blocks Amerine has posted over her last four matches. Another player making a difference was Kinley Brown, who had six assists and four aces.

Liberty Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10-1 record this season.
