With a playoff win on the line, Appomattox County rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Lebanon Pioneers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Appomattox County got a great performance from Isaac Records as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. Records has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Appomattox County's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was R J Martin, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Appomattox County's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lebanon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-6.
