Football Recap: Christian County Falls to Northeast in First Game of Season

Christian County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Northeast Eagles on Saturday, falling 48-20. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Christian County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zyon Wharton, who picked up 105 receiving yards and one TD. Christian County also got help from Michael Tandy, who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.

Christian County has already played their next matchup, a 55-0 loss against Mayfield on the 29th. As for Northeast, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-0 victory against West Creek on the 29th.
