Softball Recap: Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies vs. Canton C-Hawks        
        
		
            
 While Elk Point-Jefferson put up plenty of  runs on Tuesday, the same  can't be said for Canton. Everything went the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies' way against the Canton C-Hawks as the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies made off with  a  16-0 victory. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for Elk Point-Jefferson this season.
  Lauren McDermott looked comfortable as she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 On the hitting side, Elk Point-Jefferson got a  massive  performance out of  Hannah Nearman, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs.  Laney Trometer was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 On Canton's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kambree Wentz, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Elk Point-Jefferson has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record  this season. As for Canton, they  haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
 Elk Point-Jefferson will head out on the road to  take on  St. Mary on Monday. St. Mary will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Elk Point-Jefferson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Canton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beresford at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
