It was a good run, but Hondo unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 56-37 bruising from the Crystal City Javelinas. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-48 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crystal City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyson Mata, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Riyannah Mena, who posted 11 points.

Hondo's defeat dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Crystal City, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-9.

Hondo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-46 loss against Natalia on the 4th. Crystal City has also already played their next game, a 55-33 win against Cotulla on the 4th.
