Softball Recap: Atlee's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

If Atlee was feeling good fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Varina last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell 5-1 to the Deep Run Wildcats on Tuesday. The Raiders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Camdyn Metts was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Izzie Turnauer also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Atlee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Deep Run, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlee will challenge Hanover at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deep Run, they will face off against Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
