There's no place like home for St. Mary, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Atlas Preparatory School Gryphons on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Gryphons: they've now won eight in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Mary's was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-6, 25-15.

The win got St. Mary's back to even at 4-4. As for Atlas Preparatory School, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Mary's will challenge rival Manitou Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Atlas Preparatory School is set to square off against their familiar foe Banning Lewis Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
