Soccer Game Preview: Elgin vs. MacArthur

Elgin hasn't had much luck against MacArthur recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Owls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. Elgin's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If MacArthur heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Elgin took over last week. The Owls won by a goal and slipped past Altus 2-1. The win continues a trend for Elgin in their matchups with Altus: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask MacArthur). They were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Duncan on Tuesday.

MacArthur's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Elgin, their win bumped their record up to 9-7-1.
