Basketball Recap: Mauston Comes Up Short

Mauston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 57-40 bruising from the Nekoosa Papermakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-51 back in January.

Mauston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Nekoosa, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mauston will take on Portage at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nekoosa, they will face off against Iola-Scandinavia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
