Powhatan and Fluvanna County are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Flying Flucos at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Powhatan comes in on three and Fluvanna County on seven.

Powhatan is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Huguenot get on the board and left with a 25-0 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Fluvanna County won against Albemarle on Tuesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Flying Flucos came out on top in a nail-biter against Western Albemarle, sneaking past 4-2.

Powhatan pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Fluvanna County, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Powhatan might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Fluvanna County in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
