Baxter Springs is a perfect 10-0 against Chetopa since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will square off against the Hornets. Chetopa took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Baxter Springs, who comes in off a win.

Baxter Springs will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating St. Mary's-Colgan, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 win over the Panthers on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won three contests in a row.

While Baxter Springs won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Chetopa came up short against Oswego on Thursday and fell 2-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-8.

Chetopa's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14-3. As for Baxter Springs, their win bumped their record up to 19-8.

Baxter Springs beat Chetopa 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
