Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rockledge). They put the hurt on the Merritt Island Mustangs with a sharp 76-55 win on Wednesday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Mustangs are ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rockledge found their leader in sophomore Brady Kearns, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kearns has scored all season. Damien Bryant was another key player, going 6 of 10 on his way to 13 points and six assists.

Rockledge was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Rockledge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Merritt Island, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Rockledge will challenge Titusville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockledge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season. As for Merritt Island, they will host Merritt Island Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
