Softball Game Preview: Vandercook Lake Jayhawks vs. Addison Panthers

The Vandercook Lake Jayhawks will square off against the Addison Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses dating back to last season for Vandercook Lake and six for Addison.

Monday just wasn't the day for Vandercook Lake's offense. They came up short against Columbia Central on Monday, falling 15-0.

Homer hit Addison with a 14-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers lost 16-1 to the Trojans.

Addison saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeh Edison, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles. Lilly Votzke also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Addison's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Vandercook Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
