Chavez and Poly are an even 4-4-2 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Parrots at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Poly will be up against a hot Chavez team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Eagles never let Monroe get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Monday. Give Chavez's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Poly's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 1-0 win from a begrudging Poly squad. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Arleta are ranked 412th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Poly's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Chavez, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything went Chavez's way against Poly in their previous matchup back in January, as Chavez made off with a 6-1 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Parrots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
