            Ironwood barely beat Kellis the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Ironwood put the hurt on Kellis with a sharp  15-2 win on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Lane Stilwell made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   six  hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Ironwood: the team is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 0-6 otherwise.
 In other batting news,  Alex Misner and  Max Schattner did most of the damage at the plate:  Misner  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2, while  Schattner  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.  Joshua McCormick also deserves some recognition as  he  got his first  hits of the season.

 Ironwood  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That's the most  hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
Ironwood's victory  ended  a  nine-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-7. As for Kellis,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-6.
 Ironwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  7-2  win against Cactus on the 26th. As for Kellis, they have also  already played their next matchup,  a  14-0  defeat against Williams Field on the 28th.
