Basketball Recap: Forest Park Takes a Loss

Forest Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were dealt a 54-10 defeat at the hands of the Hampton Hornets. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-6.

When it comes to explaining why Forest Park lost, don't look at Karisma Davis. Despite the final result, she posted six points. The dominant performance gave Davis a new career-high in points.

Surayyah Aleem was her usual excellent self, putting up 19 points for Hampton. Ayana Roberts was another key player, scoring ten points.

Forest Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Hampton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Forest Park has already played their next matchup, a 50-5 defeat against Drew on the 24th. As for Hampton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-42 loss against Woodland on the 24th.
