Basketball Game Preview: Nazareth Academy Roadrunners vs. Carmel Corsairs

The Nazareth Academy Roadrunners and the Carmel Corsairs will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nazareth Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three matches.

Last Friday, Nazareth Academy came up short against St. Patrick and fell 66-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (55), the Roadrunners still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Carmel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against Niles Notre Dame, falling 67-38.

Nazareth Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Carmel, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
